GOT MY FLINTER some months ago.went thru some GROWING PAINS, .the .495 r.b.s and .o16 patches were a pain in the BUTT!!! threw the T.C black flints away, Got some good advise from MOONCOON AND NESSY (GOOD FLINT, THANK YOU). got an address from from JELLYROLL on flints from IDAHO.They are excellent. Got a .490 dia. mold, then had to work all damn summer. took last sunday off, went up into the cammeron river valley AND GOT IN SOME good SHOOTING. I USE nessy,S MOOSE MILK MIXTURE FOR MY .010 PATCHES AND USE THE SAME 3 fff TO PRIME THE PAN. MOVE THE PRIMER CHARGE away FROM THE TOUCH HOLE ( BORED OUT TO .060) AND POKE THE MAIN CHARGE WITH A TOOTHPICK. i also shoot 50-60 grains. no more missfires,no more hot sparks from the 4 FFFF. NESSY, if you want that can of GOEX 4 FFFF,its yours. IT DON't SMELL GOOD,but DAMN, it sure don't smell BAD EITHER. :DPOPS
 
Pops, lol... the smell is addictive. I find myself leaning into the cloud of smoke after I touch my flinter off. Glad to see you have found success with your flinter. Those two fellows you mentioned are pretty smart.

There's a BP shoot at the Courtney Fish an Game club. Oct 6th & 7th
It's gonna be a good one :D
Roundball sillhouettes on Sat, and an old fashioned Carnival Shoot on Sun.Followed by Thanksgiving dinner.Turkeys will be deep fried :D:D and the rest pot luck. Everyone is welcome, just PM for more details, watch Events and Gatherings for the flyer etc.

YES, i'm still alive. THANKSGIVING SHOOT sounds good. my daughter lives just down the road on WEBB ROAD. will probably stay overnite there. will bring the 4 F for your pistols c. u. there POPS (GLENN):D
