LW Mountain Rifle

I'm thinking about trying a 1.5 - 5 Leupold on my light rifle for a couple reasons... first I have never turned a 3X9 up to 9 power to kill anything, most of the time its set at 5 or 6 and secondly the 1.5-5 Leupold is beautifully light in weight.

I like the LW, and easy to mount features of this scope too. But you give up too much imo.
I would always, in every situation, choose the 2.5-8 or 3.5-10 now that I have been forced to shoot 300 yrds with a 1.5-5. It worked but could have been "easier" with more magnification

Very nice rifle Buckmastr, Thanks for sharing.
I hope you didn't mind my suggesting the 1.5-5 as a possible option for my light rifle, it was just a thought and meant only for me and within the comfort range that I hunt in..

Thanks for the compliments

I liked, and still don't mind the 1.5-5 scopes, but with the smaller field of view (smaller objective) and losing the option for more magnification, will replace them with bigger scopes.
Of course I don't mind if someone prefers something over another, blondes or brunettes type of thing anyways.

Cheers.

That's a cool picture, and trophy cfbmi - thanks for sharing. But I have watched too much animal planet to pose for a picture on the shore with my back turned to the water.

I may not look it DG but I'm really fast.........besides the crocs were more scared of me than I was of them.

MAH.........that sir, is not a gator..........from the Yukon or anywhere else on this planet.............perhaps you should look up Sarcosuchas.......
