LWRC M6IC-A5 in Canada!

Hey there, thought i would post some photos of my new rifle.

It is an LWRC M6IC-A5 14.7", cerakote color is German Field Grey
It's the first A5 in Canada (had to wait for the FRT to go through, only took about a month)

Mid length gas, piston driven, fluted cold hammer forged heavy barrel that is nitrided inside and out, proprietary nickel boron coating on BCG, FCG and barrel extension
Lower is really nice having a bolt catch / release on both sides

Sinasta - The old rifles were called the M6, these are the newer M6IC :) Major difference being the mount for the handguard is machined as part of the upper receiver. Can only use their handguard because of that, but I like it quite a lot so thats fine by me!
 
Hate to tell you this but think one of my budidies already beat you to it, he has the same one as you with the machined handguard into the upper. He had in imported months ago and I had the honour of sighting it in for him. I don't know much about them but it was the nicest AR I've ever held, the machining and finish was top-notch.
 
mrblue357- Hmm! Perhaps mine is the first M6IC-A5 and your friend has either an IC-Enhanced or IC-SPR? The guy at IRG said mine was the first one he had ever brought in, and that he had to hold on to it for a few weeks while the RCMP looked at images of the lower receiver to issue an FRT. Lower receiver is only marked "M6IC" and isnt model specific so i suppose i assumed one FRT would cover all M6IC rifles. It was somewhat stressful to hear it was being held, as it was the first time Ive imported and wasnt expecting it. Everything went smoothly though, IRG is awesome.
 
Even though I am not a big fan of piston-driven ARs, I have to admit that is one fine looking piece.
I really dig that handguard/receiver design, and the spiral fluting is mesmerizing. Let us know how she shoots, reliability, etc.

Think your right, he does have a different flash hider then you, It probably the enhanced model.

Congrats on the great gun ;)
