So instead of starting another thread I thought I resurrect this one. That said, having entered the 308 AR market via the Colt 901 just wondering if there is a "larger" REPR presence in Canada with the establishment of IRG?, if you have em, lets see um.

Yeah - I was wondering this myself ...
There was a Canadian entity (a CGN sponsor) that was gonna have a go a being their distributor - but I think that fell through.
I was thinking of using IRG to work as an importer on an LWRC deal - I find the rifle I want, pay for it and have it shipped to the IRG office in the States - then they ship it up here for the same charges as shipping one of their own sales up to Canada.
Coincidentally though - a warranty situation with IRG recently came up here the other day on CGN re: a manufacturer who didn't have a Canadian presence - and I'm starting to re-think the IRG idea. In the past, if something was not right with my purchase, I would contact the shop I bought it from, and they would make it right (they would deal with the manufacturer - not me). I would definitely look into who I would be talking to if my purchase arrived in questionable condition, or if the rifle was defective from the factory.
The prospect of dealing with a US manufacturer, and the problems associated with sending my rifle back to the US for warranty work doesn't seem appealing to me at all ....
If anyone has any info on this kind of thing - I'd like to hear it.

A associate of mine has one of the REPR rifles that he acquired about 2 years ago, his feed back fit, finish, appearance is excellent. He was adamant that the accuracy was great and on par with many bolt guns, we had him shoot several of our assorted LaRue and KAC rilfes - he is now looking to purchase both a LaRue & KAC, the REPR wasnt even close in the accuracy department.

Well i considered the "warranty issue" and IRG spoke directly to that. If the firearms needs warranty, they will re-export the rifle. Probably not the "fastest" but at least it's a solution. Colt now offers a limited lifetime warranty so it's worth to send it back.
