LWRC SABR rifle pics

The LWRC forums are talking about a $3500 price tag. If this gun is non-res then I think regular guys will still buy it. If it's restricted then I think only the rich guys will buy it. I mean why buy a restricted rifle like this for $3500 when you can get an AR for $1500. If I can use the LWRC for hunting, plinking in the woods, gofer shoots, tactical rifle courses, shooting pumpkins and milk cartons filled with frozen water, then it would be worth $3500 to me. If not, it's just another range only firearm, and there are lots of others that will fit that bill.

X2
I agree. But $3500 was for the counter sniper version or there 223 version? I would only buck up for the counter sniper. The other varients I would wait tell ammo prices come down or Norinco ships there version.

I believe the $3500 was for the SABR (sniper version). It has the uber cool UBR stock. The SABR is the one I want. :sniper:The insurgent teleportation device is pretty cool though.:ar15:

That about covers it.

$3500 for the SABR counter-sniper version sounds good to me.

Compare it to the AR-10 super SASS which is a $3300 rifle.

Add a short stroke piston to the super-SASS and thats more or less the SABR (and still way cheaper then the HK417 civilian model, if it ever comes out).

$3500 for a fully done up and kitted out rifle is not out of line. I try not to think about how much picatinny coolness I've bolted onto my ARs. it adds up in a big hurry. This thing includes a FF rail and Magpul PRS stock, MIAD and Troy flip sights from the look of it. That adds up to somewhere north of $600 or so. If it is deemed to be a "New design" and not a derivative or modification of the AR15 and therefore non-restricted... I might spooge on my way to get my credit card

Stop it!
:runaway:
I am going nutz over this rifle!
:sniper:
It's like the sun shining after a rainy day :D
Maybe one day we will get to play with this awsome piece of technology...
Maybe!?!
Please...

It is just an AR-10 with a short stroke gas piston. There is no way the SABR could come in non-restricted.

Its NOT an AR-10.

It doesn't use a single AR15 or AR10 part. Its been designed and engineered from the ground, although it 'appears' to look similar to an AR-10, mechanically its completely different.

Just like the Sig Classic Green/Black special compared to the Sig 550.

They appear the same, but are mechanically different, Hence the B-S and C-G (as well as the other full length ones) are non-restricted ;)
