Quantico, VA – June 11, 2009 - The United States Drug Enforcement Administration has approved the LWRCI M6A2 Carbine as a DEA-Authorized Personal Duty rifle.

During April and May of 2009, the DEA office of Training - Firearms Training Unit, with the assistance of several DEA Primary Firearms Instructors and the FBI Defensive Systems Unit, Ballistics Research Facility at Quantico, Virginia, conducted testing on the LWRCI M6A2 (DEA - Specified Semi-Automatic Configuration). The testing included Extreme Temperature Testing, Corrosion/Sand Tests, Drop Tests, and Accuracy and Dispersion Tests. The weapons were also subjected to a Durability/Reliability Test specifying that the Carbine be fired for 5000 rounds with minimal malfunctions. The LWRCI carbine passed all phases of testing.

The DEA Domestic Configuration LWRCI M6A2 is authorized as a personal purchase duty rifle. A foreign service configuration has also been authorized for use OCONUS.

Fully Automatic Versions are in service with DEA FAST teams in Afghanistan.

Doesn't RRA make a DEA rifle lately? Thought I saw that branding somewhere...

I already have a Knight's, and a POF, and a couple LMT, and a couple PWS, and a Colt, and a RRA, and a handful of Noveske's, and a Vltor, and an AAC, and......well you get the idea!

Sure, Hurt my feelings! I'd really like to try an HK, just haven't got there yet. I do want to get an LWRC as well. So many fun toys, so little time and money!
