I have a Lyman 1000xp digital scale and I don't trust it.

not every time but alot of times after i dump the powder in2 the bullet case in stead of reading 00.0 it will read something like 00.5 witch now makes me wonder if the powder in the case is .5 gn under or over what it should be. Some times as well I will zero or cal the scale and with out breathing in its direction or anything u can sit there and watch it gain weight on the display.

very frustrating.

anyone elce with digital scales have problems like this ?

No, haven't had these things happen but my 1200 I trust completely - enough that if I'm loading less than a pile of ammo and it's for my own guns, I go from the dispenser to a balance beam then to the case. There are a lot of things that can make an electronic scale a bit glitchy - air drafts, room pressure changes, fluorescent lights (though I don't have the foggiest as to why), stability of where they're mounted, and I'm sure there are more. Calibrate as closely as you can and check them every 5 rounds or so against a standard beam scale. Don't get into a hurry. Electronic scales tend to need a healthy warmup.

they really are very finiky. I think in my case there i just didant let it warm up long enough at first. After typing that i went back down and it worked really good. 45rds.

BINGO!!!!

I was initially very disappointed with my 1000 scale as well . It would often jump up/down by .3 - .5 . Then I realized that after the initial warm-up of 20-30 minutes (and up to 2-3 re-zeroing hits), she'd be rock-steady.
