What is the best scale to buy ? I have been fighting with my 1200 Dps for over 2 years now the drift is all over the map . I have tried every thing to make it work with no luck
I and ready to buy a different one was thinking to get the RCBS charge master . Can I get some input to help me decide what to buy

I feel your pain... My Lyman sh!t the bed a while back. I needed a replacement so I went with the RCBS Chargemaster. With the RCBS you can program nearly every aspect of it's cycle. Speed them up, slow them down. Yada, yada, yada. As long as you keep them on a solid surface away from draft and static you'll be fine. Also, it doesn't hurt to keep electronics especially cells phones out of the room (just to be safe). Over all, I very much prefer my RCBS over the Lyman and most people will agree that it is a better product.

That said, the only time that the RCBS would over charge was when I reprogrammed it to be a bit faster. I set it back to default and it hasn't over charged since. I've loaded 450 rounds for my 6.5x55 and 100 for my .338 as well as some load development rounds for my 7RM, no issues. Checked against RCBS 5-0-5 scale, dead on.

This is what I did to reprogram, it didn't work perfect for me, but I'd like to try something similar.

I was in the same boat a few years ago, after a futile go around with Lyman warranty I got a Chargemaster. Now have two of them and couldn't be happier! As for the dps, I took a sledgehammer to it.
