I'm not familiar with the Lyman so I can't comment on that.

I can tell you that I've had the RCBS for several months now and I'm very pleased with it.

I've had no functioning problems at all and find it great to work with. Nice looking piece of kit as well.

Also, RCBS is legendary for taking care of their customers in the event of problems.

I have been using just the Scale part of the RCBS combo and love it saves me tones of time and i trust it.

If fact it has been so happy with it that I just bought a new RCBS charge master combo

I have the DPS II with the speed upgrade.

For metering loads, it has performed flawlessly.

Changing powders is very inconvenient. Not difficult, just annoying and with far more steps involved than should be necessary.

You might look at the offering from PACT. They have been in the shooting business a long while and ALL of the components are made in the continental US...not China (as in some ofther cases....)

The PACT combo is about half the price and has stacked up well in reviews. They do ship to Canada and our dollar is strong right now...

Don't bother with the Pact if you intend to load any kind of ball powder. My pact wouldn't ever calibrate itself with Win 748 powder. Varget no problem and powders like it.
The scale that came with my Pact system is great and I conyinue to use it. FS

I agree changing the powder is kind of a pain, but on the plus side mine has the upgrade and it dispenses faster than I can keep up.
Some folks don't care for the 30 minute warm up. FS

I have the Lyman 1200 DPS III and like it very much. It is a single unit which I prefer. Fast enough and easy to use.
No regret. Love it.

I too have the Lyman(one of the origionals) and have had great luck with it. Some people in the past have mentioned that the scale isn't as accurate as it should be but I haven't found that problem myself. I have tested the scale a few times to my beam scale and it has almost always been bang on. The times when it has been out(maybe 3% of the time) it was still +/- .1 of a grain. This accuracy is good enough for me and I can't say that it has any effect on my shooting.

I actually looked at getting the RCBS but couldn't justify purchasing something new to replace something that works great as it is.
