Looking to start reloading Cast .303 and was recommended the Lyman M-Die that expands the neck to prevent shaving of the lead bullet.

Having an issue finding one. Brownells as well as several local shops are a no go. Anyone know an online dealer that might have it? Worst case is I can order from Lyman directly but that is MSRP and most places probably sell for cheaper.

Thanks.

I tried the M die and didn't have much success with mine, so I use the needle nose of my Gerber multitool to put a slight flare in the necks. I've also tried a metal punch set up in my drill press with the stop adjusted, but I still prefer to use my Gerber.

It doesn't take much pressure, and I'm pretty good at getting the depth to just cover the gascheck of the boolit when I'm seating them. Just a quick twist and I've got a full diameter flare.

the problem with normal flaring is it's like a funnel and you won't get the bullet to seat straight in the case. using my m style die in 223 my cast bullets go straight in every time.

That's why I like the Hornady seating dies with the floating seater sleeve. Bullets always go in straight.
