LYMAN CASE TRIM XPRESS , Thoughts??

Youtube reviews showed some potential issues but I'll be damned if I can remember what they were. I'm assuming you've been through them so I'd like to hear what you think of it.

Mounted it to the side of my work bench out of the way.

It has filled the requirements to the reason for purchase, I was wanting more speed but still a level of accuracy for trimming , seems to have been doing well.

You do have to figure out the subtleties when you use it.It also comes with a very good assortment of collets for even some not so common chamberings. The only chambering I can't trim with the factory collets is my 338 LM , which I can purchase later or just use my Redding lathe style for.

My only gripe is that it will grab your case and catch on the cutter head turning the case in your hand putting a notch in the mouth that you still trim off anyways, this seems to be just a technique issue or fresh new sharp cutter.Once you get the feel for feeding it this happens less and less.

Over all , pleased with the purchase.

Value is definitely there as the hand lathe types that need an assortment of pilots later can be damn near the same price.

I will not use nickel plated cases in it to preserve the cutter.

Some will say it's loud, well, it's a machine.
