Lyman digital scale problems

My scale is currently being a pain in the ass. I hold down the cal button for a wile with nothing happening. and the scale its self seams not to be working.

Anyone elce have any problems with them ?

Lyman Beam Scale is also a PITA

I have the Lyman pro 500 beam style and it is also inconsistent.

I think we both need to upgrade to something better and safer.

Anybody got any good suggestions.

I have the Lyman 1220 DPS and had a problem with the scale not wanting to zero, turned out to be a few kernels of powder under the pan, blew them out with some canned air and it worked fine after that.

Also keep in mind how sensitive these machines are. My loading bench is right under a air register in my basement. Every time my furnace came on I couldn't get the hooker to zero. Once I figured it out and plugged the vent it was fail free.

Bought myself a cheap digital scale on ebay.

Threw the Lyman balance in the trash.

Much better.
