Lyman Magnum Inertia Bullet Puller shattered !

I have had a RCBS one for over 25 yrs, and I only strike the end of a chunk if 4 x 4 ! I remember the instructions said NOT to strike on anything but a wood surface, as using on steel would cause it to shatter !! I have made several thousand strikes with it over the yrs with no problem !!!

I can't remember what brand mine is but it's blue. I beat that thing on the base of my press if I only have a couple to do and go into the laundry room and pound on the concrete floor if I have a few to do. The end is getting quite mashed but it's still holding together.
Just buy a new one. For $20-$30 for a new one why bother paying to ship the broken one back to them. They are bound to fail eventually considering the way we treat them.

I think I've broken every brand out there over the years. I keep a spare now so that I don't have to stop when one breaks. Cuz it's fun!

Not.
