Lyman Micro-Touch 1500 scale trouble

Yes, I know there are those who would never consider using a digital scale. I do use one. I have used this little scale for several years with no problems. This afternoon, I went to calibrate it, and the display just keeps changing numbers, seemingly random. I changed batteries, same thing. Anybody have any ideas? I don't mind having to buy another one, but I wouldn't mind getting this one working. I'll leave it alone for a couple of days and see if it will work.

I searched around the shop and the gun room at home and finally came up with my old Lyman D7 that probably came from Casey's Reloading in Midland, ON. I also have an old Redding that I found at the shop. I do some checking with the two to make sure they are okay to use. There is a little notestuck on the LYMAN, to the effect "Place line to the right of number. I remember having to do that with that scale. :d
