For some reason this thing doesnt always give me an exact measure.

I put enough powder in the tray to give me the amount of grains I want, but it seems to take a lot one time and not much the other time to move the pendilum. I put the powder in the tray with a yellow little scoop thingy, then use a powder trickler to make an exact measure of powder.

I always tap the scale to make sure, sometimes its perfect and other times its definately too much powder.

I noticed this when looking into a case before seating a bullet and it seemed to have too much in it, i could tell just from looking.

So do I have a scale that is not so great, and should buy a RCBS model?

Or do these scales just do weird things once in awhile? I have double and triple checked to make sure my slides for the proper weight have not moved while reloading.

I was using IMR 4350 if that makes a difference in your answer. Would it just pack differently in different cases?

Check to make sure that the balance beam is sitting in the "V" blocks properly.
If one side is in the V and the other is infront or behind, or if both sides are in front or behind the V, then the scale will not measure acurately or consistantly.
