M-14 Clip guide

I recieved my first M-14 on Monday and i love it, I have already stripped cleaned and begun planning my project. I have a rail that I want to install, but I have no idea how to remove the Clip Guide. Can anyone please help me?

Punch out the roll pin

A brass pin and a hammer.

Take the receiver out of the stock. With a small punch and hammer push the pin down from the top. It shouldn't be ignorant tight.

think i used a finishing nail and a hammer- the nail because i wanted to pull it back out, then visegrips once i moved the pin enough to get a grip on it- pulls out from the bottom - it's a hollow pin, so you have to replace it anyway once it's out
