i was wondering if anybody out there could give me some feedback on this question?i found a local dealer here who has orignal 20 round(pinned to 5)us m-14 magazines new for $55 each, good deal?thanks

Examine them closely for manufacturer markings and any (possible) damage.

Try each and every one of them in your rifle(s) for fit and function.

$55. for a new, genuine USGI M-14 magazine - in Canada - is a excellent price.

$55. for a Norinco M-14S/M-305 magazine is above average.

This might be a stupid question... but...

Since P-Mags are becoming so popular with AR lovers.. would we ever see a polymer M14 mag? Dunno what the downside or upside would be to it but I was thinking about that the other day. Maybe someone already makes them and they just never caught on?

Thermold makes them. The hole for the guide rod is an issue as it is a high wear point.

Ya, I guess they are rubbing around a lot with the hole and not being able to just feed them straight up into the magwell. Never really though of that. The block and hole would probably wear away pretty badly over time.....

Thanks CanAm.. Learn something new everyday...

I'm ok with all metal mags... be happier with ones that hold the proper number of cartridges instead of these neutered ones.

I thought Thermold magazines were supposed to be disposable in design, verses the PMags which are not. So comparing the 2 doesn't make sense to me.
