M-14, rear sight replacement rail?

Just wondering if anyone has ever produced a railed sight base designed to replace the M-14 rear sight? I was thinking it should not be too difficult and would allow the mounting of practically any rear sight or even smaller optics like a red dot and still have use of the charger bridge and easier access for cleaning.

Also if their are any bases that replace the front sight as well.

easiet would be to use the rear charger base for a short rail.

Sweet. How reliable are these mounts? I was thinking of grabbing one to use flip up or precision irons.

I suggest that folks check out the m14ra.com forum. Art Luppino's in depth review is the only review on the net to date. If you don't know who Art is.... Google him Frank/m14.ca is also a "dealer" there so you will find lots of info and comments on these new aluminum mounts.
