I have a new M-305b on pre-order from Marstar, and I have a good Idea what I am going to put on it. I was thinking of a A2 grip from an AR-15. I would like to maintain the original butt stock, but still have a pistol grip for easier carry (I plan on hunting with this) and because they look cool:cool:.

So, How would I go about modifying the stock to take a AR grip?

cut and pasted from my reply in another thread....... ;)

and later this year I will release the new manufacture version of the M14SE2, with removeable A2 style AR15 grip. Usgi stock mod versions shown

i can currently modify existing USGI fiberglass stocks to this model as well.

well..... you need to make up a part out of aluminum or steel that can be imbedded well up into the stock behind the trigger inlet. it should be rectangular and one end has been cut and shaped to duplicate the AR grip mount. take a dremel with a good material removal carbide bur and mill out a rectangular recess into the stock deep enough to fit your made up part so when the grip is atached, the grip sits flush where you want it.
epoxy bed the block into your stock with the grip on it so as to align everything while the epoxy sets up. once cured, next day, drill 2 holes sideways thru the stock, thru the adaptor inside and out the other side, one above the other. Tap them and then using long machine screws and more epoxy paste in the holes and on the threads, screw the bolts thru untill they come out the other side, then back off till they are ust under flush on one side. back fill that side with epoxy to cover the holes.
once cured, cut off the screw ends sticking out, grind down with dremel and back fill to cover with epxoy paste. HINT, you can get pigment to dye the epoxy paste brown ;)
sand it all up and yer good to go ;)
