Maybe you should open your own business and somehow get the chinese to teleport firearms to Canada on time?

Lone wolf and Marstar. You are dead right. I apoligize sincerly. Its always easy to sit on the sidelines and whine and once again I sincerly apologize.

We were simply responding to potential clients who thought it would be a good thing so as to plan their gun buying budget....Obviously it was not a good idea....

I would certainly like to hear from you and learn from your vast business experience....
obviously we have been doing all wrong, I would welcome your input....

Are you saying that the past almost 30 years have been filled with bad business pratices ?? I was not aware that there were classes/courses for the international firearms trade ??

Perhaps you might suggest places of higher learning that offer such courses as Gunrunning 101, proper business etiquet behind the Iron Curtain, or proper business pratices with your friendly dictator ?

Here we are running a successfull, multi million dollar company and its all wrong....Wait until I meet with my accountants....

I await your wise council by return,

John

I, for one, love the pre-order system! Like any of you, I would really like to be shooting my m14 right now. However, like most things in this life, nothing is certain.. things happen -especially in a country like china and with shipping "evil" (according to the Lie-berals) stuff like firearms into KANADA! The only thing that is certain is that you are soon to be getting the best deal in the country on one of the most popular guns around. My cousin in KALIFORNIA is $hi**ing his pants over that price, compared to the over $2500 he would have to spend on a Springfield, since the Norc's aren't available. Most guys in the USA would give their right arm for a Norc at that price (esp when our dollar was 50 cents US), and would gladly wait a year for it. Enough with the whining please. No one is stopping you from cancelling the order that you have placed no freaking money down for. The pre-order is a courtesy service for the rest of us patient folk who don't wan't to miss out on the goods, and don't have the time to check the site every damn day!

John please continue this great service for the good people, and to hell with the rest. Most of us appreciate what you do, and how you do it... and are adult enough to realize in the high stakes high price game of firearms and ammunition sales, things are rarely black and white. Thanks for the great deals! I am looking through your personal collection of prohib revolvers right now, thinkin I just might need a new girl for the gun safe... :)

What do you drink?, cause I am gonna send you a bottle and a card at christmas! lol.

Thanks again

Well I sure hope the pre-order doesn't stop, I haven't placed my order yet!! My credit card just expired and my new one hasn't arrived yet, so if any of you impatient, indignant types cannot wait any longer, I'd be more than happy to take your spot on the list.:p

Oh, you're right, how gullible I've been!
What are you, a psychiatrist? You saw right through me.

No doubt you nailed it with Marstar's ulterior motive too, stringing along suckers like me with the pre-order gambit.

I can't cancel my order, I'm too lazy.

On the other hand ...I don't have any issue with the way John is running his business with pre-orders. And if I really needed one right now, I'd get one elsewhere.
His price is the best and I also like his warranty. Pre-ordering makes the process very simple. This is a little more like waiting for a nice surprise.
I have other toys to play with in the meantime.

Keep up the good work, John.

By the way, thanks for bringing in those Norinco EM-332's.

I just think its funny that you and all the other people who are waiting still wait. There are probably 10 dealers on this website who can deliver one of these rifles to you for about 50 more bucks and have it on your doorstep in 3 days. Why you jump on these guys that cancel I'll never know

I worked for a boss who used to talk to customers like this too. She also had a monopoly on the services and products she sold. She would tell customers who were upset waiting for promised products how successful she was and that she didn't like being told she was wrong for doing what she does. My grandpa always taught me that customer service was #1. he was in business for 40 years when he sold his business. I don't work for her anymore.

There would have been alot less complainers here if they would have read

"Hello guys, I've just received word that the rifles are going to be arriving alot later than we anticipated. I'd like to apologize for the longer wait and thank you all for being so patient with us. As I've said before sometimes or manufacturers run into problems and we are working hard to get these rifles here as soon as possible. Again thank you for you order and for shopping with Marstar"

You have a modern day example.

It's called Apple.

Apple offers pre-order on some of their products before they ship. It allows them to build up a ramp of demand and allows them to announce products in advance of product being ready for market.

If anyone at Ivey gets back to you and says that offering pre-order is bad for business, then there's a reason why they're teaching and not doing. I'll stick to doing and making money.

Good luck with your case study.

I canceled my order long time ago, never looked back. I don't have a problem with Marstar, I am a customer too, but I don't see one single product I couldn't get somewhere else for the same or lower price.

seems like people who have pre-ordered can cancel if they dont want to wait... if that is correct then what's the problem?

I preordered cause it's the lowest price I seen on a NIB rifle. I'm in no hurry, if it gets here tomorrow, or in 3 months, I'll still have saved a few bucks on a rifle I won't consider 'finished' for a couple years anyways. 6ish Months ago I knew I had a wait ahead of me, if I was in a hurry I would of just bought a Like New one off the EE.

See, if you wanna wait and save to dough good for you. I just dont like the other people slamming people for not wanting to wait and cancelling after the due date was changed
