There isn’t a ton of m28/30s in Canada. I had one about a decade ago with a broken stock. I have seen maybe 4 for sale since.

Watch the EE, put up a want to buy ad, watch gun stores used sections and auction sites. Potentially be prepared to import one if you desire one quicker. No instant fix out there for one.

there have been 3 on the EE in the last month. At least one member here is importing Finn Mosins from the US at the retail level, and has broght in some 28/30's along with M39s.

And don't assume they're all fantastic range guns. Many have seen a lot of use. For a great range gun at a much lower price one of the Finn Tikka-barrel 91/30s is a better bet. Most of them were essentially unused.

I have an unusual 28/30. A collector who knows what he is talking about was somewhat mystified at some of the features. I have owned it for years now, and I doubt if I ever fired it. People nowadays aren't willing to pay the price, these days anyway, to own these oddities.
