My rifle messes up the tips of hunting ammunition... I realize it's not designed for softpoint bullets but, I was hoping someone could suggest a solution,

As the shell is loaded the tip hits the bottom of the chamber, shears off one side of the bullet's tip and puts two little tick marks on the brass.

Would poly-tipped bullets feed a little smoother?

Would sanding the chamber help?

Should I just forget about it?

Thanks

Nic

Forget about it. The point doesn't matter for accuracy. The base does.
Not where minute of deer is concerned but minute of angle is another thing or we'd all be firing flat nose square bullets?

Dont A max and V max detonate on impact with deer? Seems to be my experience with ballistic tips on rib cages. Not that I use them, just gralloch out the mess!
