M 305, fiberglass stock, ferrule, barrel band fit, accuracy?

Hello.

Ive just fitted a USGI FG stock on my M305. The ferrule to barrel band contact was wasnt there so I shimmed the front of the receiver and under the Trigger group wings to get a good lock up and I now have a bit of contact. I was wondering how bad the accuracy would be If I had no contact between the ferrule and barrel band. Can t get it out to the range for awhile so im just a bit curious as to what effect it has.

Remember to do the trigger after assembly test

1. #### action
2. apply safety and ensure it works
3. take off safety and fire the action.
4.Keep trigger to the rear and #### the action a couple times making sure hammer doesnt follow bolt forward
5 .release trigger and you should hear a click
6 pull trigger and hammer should go forward
 
like the man said, you want to see daylight between the stock ferrule and the barrel band. the only place they touch is on the horizontal bottom lip of the band to the horizontal bottom of the ferrule. there should be a little pressure.grab the forestock and hand guard near the band with one mitt. squeezing your hand should move the ferrule up slightly from the lip. lots on the stickies and net. see tonyben.
 
Thanks again for the input guys. I did get it out to fire a couple groups and even though its not ideal Im very impressed with the results. Will pots pics if I can/
