When my rifle is assembled the stock ferrule is very tight to the gas system. Is this bad for accuracy?
The reason for this is, instead of welding the gas system to accurize, I steel bedded the gas piston to the plate on the inside between the stock ferrule and the piston plate. I cleaned up the excess bedding and there is a gap between the stock ferrule and the plate but it is still tight. it might loosen up during my range day, but if I need to make some corrections I would like to do it now....
