M-305 & SKS special....

Mine arrived today. Looks pretty good though the barrel seems to be over-indexed(?). The front sight is pushed way to the right to compensate...

whadda know... mine arrived today to...
My front right is also pushed way over to the right as well.
other than that... it looks ok...

Mine also arrived this morning! The M305 was also over indexed with the sight pushed to the far right. There was a small rust spot on the barrel, but otherwise surprisingly clean. Otherwise they both look great! My SKS was COSMO'd as per usual, and I spent the afternoon cleaning it off. Heading to the range on monday.

I thought Marstar was advertising that they had a grip on quality control on the Norinco M305B .
The number of nincorrectly indexed barrels does not sound like it.

Other than the sights looking a bit off, the gun should be still ok to shoot right? Or is there something I have to do prior to going plinking??

Mine had barrel slightly over indexed and front site way out and peened. Specifically asked to not get one with those characteristics. I know they are very busy and don't have alot of time but I specifically asked for these 2 things to be checked and proper. Anyways, QC, fit and finish has not improved but for the price it is what it is and I've found the platform to be reliable anyway. I just hate looking down the barrel when its out of wack. Get the gun vise out and spend some time at her I guess. The SKS was as expected, priced just right.

I should also note that the shipping was fast and everything was packaged well, marstar case is nice too. Also everyone I talked too on the phone seemed very pleasant.

mine arrived today, looks great!

i must say one thing, LOVE the Marstar gun case, only place i know that has their own gun cases made to ship out all their guns, A+ from me on that guys!

that fella that works at Norinco factory that is responsible for packing the magazines in those plastic bags and then squirting the cosmoline into the bags must be the employee of the month at that factory, cause those mags where LOADED in the cosmo, haha!

here is the arrival

only one thing was kinda strange, on the sides of the stock where the bolts are that hold the inner guts onto the stock, looks like whatever they used for lubrication at the factory did some sort of damage to the stock.
it was sticky as all hell, i had to wash it off 3 times in hot soapy water then go at it with a plastic scrub pad to get all the stick off it, now it still has some colour discoloration where the sticky was. nothing that im worried about, im gonna paint it OD tomorrow, but if you guys are talking to the factory you may wanna tell them that whatever they are using is doing damage to the synthetic stocks.

it is clear from all the this feedback that the M305B does have a barrel indexing problem.

I am still waiting for my rifle. I think I will just change the front sight.

Received my M305 yesterday. The barrel is indexed correctly and the front sight is straight. I wiped off the excess oil and greased her up. I took it to the range today and sighted it in at 50 yards. After a few clicks on the windage and elevation and she is hitting bang on where I want it. I am quite impressed with my rifle and am actually surprised at how nice the trigger feels. I plan to put an m14.ca scope rail on it, scope it and take it deer hunting. Oh yeah, the SKS is nice too! Thank you Marstar!
