M-38 with bent bolt.

Hi all, I recently received an M-38 with a very short bent handle bolt that feels very awkward to open after firing. The serial number on the bolt matches that on the receiver so I think it's original to the rifle. Would it be safe to swap it out for a straight handle bolt from another Mosin?

yes only if you have it headspaced after or use the old bolt head on the new bolt body
