M 38's??????

Guys I am not forcing anyone to buy those. If I find those for cheaper I will bring it in. As of now they are very limited and prices are high because there is practically none for sale.

Yeah we know how hard you worked to bring them here and its true, you are not forcing anyone to buy one.
But now, I'm really affraid the EE prices will skyrocket.
I want to add one to my collection but at this price, I better like buying something else but that's just my opinion.
I already bought some stuff from your store, always been satisfied with items and price but this... I'm in shock right now, sorry W/R !
I know, its offer vs demand... Very few to offer but high demand = higher prices.

As much as I love Nagants, I can not conceive paying that much for a refurbished non-sniper M/N.
I paid 450 bucks about 1.5 years ago for my finnish M39 Sako which is a hell of a rifle compared to a Russian M38.
 
It is M38 not M44 which is more rare. You guys do understand that. Price is just high because of supply. Don't be angry at westrifle I did not do anything wrong here. Everybody says high price but I do not see anyone else finding any and bringing those in I wonder why!

Anyone here would sell them for what the market will bear, if they claim otherwise I'd be skeptical.
As to effects on the Market; well sometimes you're the windshield...sometimes you're the bug. Couple of years ago I bought a nice nice laminate Russian SKS for about 330 shipped, it's now worth 200 $...Meh
 
In 1995 I paid a thousand bucks for seven lee enfields, a box of extra LE parts, and six cases of .303 ammo, Some people told me I was an idiot.

In 1990 i picked up two K98s at 75 bucks each, I was told it was worthless junk.


In 2008 some friends and I bought over a hundred crates of 7.62x39 for a third of what its worth now, some said " a fool and his money..."


In 2013 I picked up a couple of the last M38s and M44s I could find on the market...


Maybe I'm a dummy ...but I can always sell one of the enfields that I paid 50 bucks for if I get broke. BTW, whats an un-opened crate of .303 worth?
 
I agree with you fiddler, early on in my collecting, I let Garand's get away on me so to speak.

That's why I've nabbed an SVT and an M44 while they are plentiful.

When M38's were cheap, yet seemingly not plentiful, I bought one in an M44 stock and one in a wartime M38 stock.

At the time they were just interesting variants to me, I actually find them more interesting than M44's.

If I recall correctly, when I bought the M38's, RC k98k's were the fad, and everyone was #####ing that $350 was outrageous for an RC!
 
I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised (unless you were one of the people who just bought one) when the next lot of Mosin M38's hit the marketplace very shortly.

Lower prices for the same quality? I kind of wanted an M38 but $625 is a lot of money.
 
I just picked up a HEX tula 1933 matching numbers m91/30 with mint bore and VG wood with bayonet and kit for $151.00....so 625 for a carbine, phuck that.

No disrespect or hatred towards west rifle or any other dealers for the matter.
