M-44 accuracy.

Just shot a 1.15 inch group at 50 yards with iron sights. Should I put a PU scope on here?

Shoot it to 100 meters then lets see...50 yards isn't much for a rifle.

Thats about as good as you'll get with the short sight radius. Shooting at 100 y will just again demonstrate the weakness of the sights. Switching to a scope or a peep sight will give the potential for more accuracy. Reloading would also benefit your efforts

Very good advise.

Mine is VERY accurate with 125 grn bullets, 56grns of BL-C (2) and remington primers. I found the heavier bullets disapointing, but the above recipe will make your day. Big fireball and a kick like you never experienced, use pleanty of shoulder padding and good ear defenders or your ears will bleed.

Since the above photo was taken I have put the bayonet back on,for some unexplained reason it shoots much better with it. Not extended, just folded back.
