M-44 carbine day at the range

Yes that was fun today. I saw the M-38 on the bench and was actually coming over to make you an offer.:) Once you told me it was a bit of an imposter, I knew I had seen it somewhere before. Getting to shoot it was an added bonus. It was nice to see the younger guys that you were letting shoot it having a blast.:shotgun: I'll be in touch. Take care.

Hi Z-man. I was actually waiting till I got my headspace guages before I took it to the range. I chambered a couple of rounds and found it a bit tight. Usually the Mosins fail the "no go" test and not the "go" test. It was tight but it chambered properly and preformed great. The 3 gauges shown are go, no go, and field.
Have you loaded any of the brass we swapped? I hope things are good for you and family for the New Year.

Hey, what do they measure out to. I've got a friend who just happens to be a machinist. So rather then spending $55 plus shipping for a set of gauges, I can just buy him a case of beer.

I'm the road so I can't measure them, but I think the specs are on the website. You wouldn't want to trust my measurements anyways.
