Just checking out the EE, and notice alot of M-44s posted. The prices are starting to become a bit more rational too, <$250 in some cases. I remember buying mine 2 years ago for $169 at TradeEx!!!

Yup.

I got a refurb laminate in absolutely flawless condition with all accessories, 2 years ago for the same $169. I'd get another, but not for the $300 - $400 some nutbars are asking for them.

Ive seen some outrageously priced M44's over the last year or so. Some even into the mid-300's. I bought my mint polish M44 last summer for 250 shipped and Ive seen some posted recently in the 400 range  I bought my first M44 from Weimajack for 185$

It'll be interesting to see the pricing from Westrifle when the shipment comes in. I really don't see paying more than $200 and same goes for the m-38. I know they're a bit harder to find but it's not like they get trashed everyday. There were millions made, and there are still millions out there. We just have to get rid of the damned ITAR!!!

They are only worth what people are willing to pay.

Every day I see people post the most ridiculous adds in the EE and I have been tempted to start a "most ridiculous EE" thread except I'd get in trouble for harassing people.

Sks with custom tupperware stock and a dust cover scope - willing to let it go for 500 bucks.

Or 7.62x39 surplus, 500 rounds, 200 bucks.

Or the infamous "just bought, and I never fired it...I have now changed directions...". (Immediate thoughts from me are as follows: just bought rifle. Fired said rifle. Can't hit a barn with said rifle. Now trying to sell said rifle.).

Yeah I just hijacked this thread. Sorry.

This should of been your first thread post because it is what all of us M-44 fans are wondering. I just checked the EE and I don't see one for sale. ( Sunday 22:19). I guess there is a market for them. I'm pretty sure all this posturing is designed to make Westrifle think they have to give them away. The $165 days are gone. Sorry.

Aye.
I just sold mine with a mint bore for $275 fairly easy.
I remember back when I could buy a liter of gas for $0.80!
Now people are asking $1.30!!

What a bunch of idiots!!!!

Prices are pretty high on the EE but if you go to a gun show you can get one for under 200$. There was a m38 with good bore, it looked un refurb. It was original i think. Wood looked like it was used in battle and blueing was 50% and it came with a pack of ammo for 120$. I dont know why i didnt buy it.f:P:
