M+M Industries M10x DMR - Non-Restricted 18.6” in 7.62x39mm Canada

Get them down to 1200 where they should have been originally, then we'll talk

Tough crowd lol

Not at all. These were slotted to come into the country around $1200 until an exclusive distribution deal for Canada was negotiated and the DMR version was created to justify a huge price (non-restricted tax) hike.

I don’t think they’re getting the excitement and sales numbers they would have. Many who observed this process take place in real time were pissed at losing the opportunity to buy a cool looking non-restricted rifle at a reasonable price.

Just had a quick read of the Wanstall's closed thread on the M+M shoot show..from the way back in history section..
Couldn't find a exact MSRP.. But did see $230 preorder charges???
So was to be a $1000 gun???

If you remember when Canada Ammo was originally looking at bringing them in, they were asking if people were interested at 2400 bucks (give or take) and most people were saying yes.

Then wanstalls made a huge mistake and posted them up as a pre sale at 1450 or whatever and then people got mad at North Sylva when they posted up a price more in line with canada Ammo's research.

This was not North Sylva's fault, this was simply a lot of people that got 'had' by a generally very reputable dealer that made a big mistake.

I paid $2k+tax for mine because the AK-12 is one of my dream guns and this is about as close as I am going to get. I love the gun, but it does not perform like a $2k gun. At that price, I'd expect much better accuracy and reliability. Fit and finish is definitely consistent with a $2k gun; performance is more like a $200 gun. These should go for about $1200.

Well done! Looks awesome. You should have done some mags in that colour as well! Killer job!!

Ammo has a big impact on reliability. The stuff that works 100% of the time is the Barnaul 123gr FMJ because it's so damn hot. Also makes it really inaccurate (think 5" groups at 100). The best ammo is the Czech surplus, but that stuff is pretty much gone save for the 350rds I am hoarding. That was 100% reliable and would be down to about 2-3MOA. My default now is the Chinese spam can surplus. Has some hiccups (stovepipes) and accuracy is 3MOA or so.

I think he means it's comparable to your average SKS.

Pretty much.

Thanks! The light doesn't show it, but the mags are plum-coloured. I randomly found two 5/30 Mapgul AK mags in sand colour, which can be dyed. I more or less boiled them in "wine" Rite-Dye.

I moved the EOTech back onto my Mk.18 clone and I now have a Burris 1-4x on here. IMO it's the best choice.

The Romanian one fits aswell. If it functions is a different story

Romanian drum on left, Russian drum on right

Looks awesome! Maybe it has already been posted and I missed it, but what kind of groups are people getting with these? I've been thinking of picking one up.

Hey all,

I have had mine for a little short of a year. Shot most available ammo through it, and agree with others that the Barneul ammo is the most reliable. I average 4 inch groups at 100m. I could improve this with use of a scope and quality ammo, but as I see it, this is a 150 yard range/hunting rifle with a cool factor.

The things I have noticed is some slight marring on the bolt camming lug that I have stoned down. The same as one gets on an ak as the bolt and bolt carrier settle in with each other. There is non on the bolt locking lugs.

Can we get past the hate on this rifle and enjoy it for what it is. I do agree that it is not a DMR. It is as accurate as any other auto 7.62x39. I get the same from my mini 30. I do not own an sks as I dont care for commie ex war guns as i dont like the though that they may have killed some poor civilians.

Regards,

Keith

Prices went down quite a lot, i could not resist, at 1500 all in BNIB at the dealer, i did not shoot it yet, i call it my AK 47 rifle, it look alike the real thing.

Nice.. First post and already triggered.. Just by the thought that just maybe a certain rifle may have massacred civilians

Same argument that the left uses when they claim firearms kill people. It takes away personal responsibility and places it on an object, which is one of the key liberal anchors for the firearms ban.
