M+M Industries M10X Official PRE ORDER

I don't think we'll see much if any difference in pricing. Probably just a few technicalities to iron out than it will be back to business as usual.

Despite what M + M wants I think the price has been determined for the most part since this preorder has gone thru. Jack it up and people will be pissed off enough to ignore the product. Nea upped their price 50 dollars which was reasonable given some extra ambi controls. The other dealer also claiming that they will have the lowest price. I'm just wondering who's going to get them in first.

1) The official MSRP and distribution for the Canadian Market has not yet been established.

this just speaks volumes about m+m

they want to apply NR tax. I think Canadian dealers should band together and not pay this tax.

It is pretty funny. Dont get me wrong Ill be pretty upset if I dont get a rifle the end of December for $1449... but it seems yhe ones behind the scenes have all said this will be sorted out starting tomorrow... so lets give them that at the very least. I've joined the M+M Facebook group. I think we all should as it is relatively small and the more Canadians that arrive the more influence we may be able to take. My 2 cents.

Facebook.... what's that?

Based on your assumptions!!!! Give it a rest and let's see how this plays out before making rash decisions. This is an awesome rifle and we are lucky enough to have another NR to choose from. Do we really need to be ####ing on m&m or wanstalls or canam when no one knows what the frack has been said or deals if any were made.....like ffs it was on a long weekend that the frt was realeased on Saturday, let's chill out and see what transpires over the next 2 weeks.

picture of original add and price taken, agreed wanstalls is a very reputable dealer.
they have always made me geel comfortable about my orders. letting wanstalls answer to m+m and there remarks is prudent at the time. I'm sure wanstalls will make it right. and who knows because of the volume of sales anticipated maybe M+m will lower the cost not raise it.

I agree and was waiting on the dust to settle and to see what transpires over the next two weekends. But now the pre order is closed.

A great deal of fear mongering here. 2 million gun owners and 24 million guns and a few billion rounds. To ban that would cost an election for what ever party tried. If even half of all gun owners voted against the government they would tossed out. So let's just enjoy our pass time and stop screaming the sky is falling.

Lol half of gun owners agreeing. If only we could do that on a regular basis, instead we are challenged to get 10 000 togeather who agree on anything and are willing to speak out about it.

I suspect the preorders were stopped as either Wanstalls set out the preorders to try and force the issue of a lower price from M+M through showcasing high demand which didn't work; or M+M backed down on the set price with Wanstalls after being reminded of their earlier commitments by the other dealer.

Shady tactics on behalf of both Wanstalls and M+M. If they don't honour the current price rest assured I won't be dealing with either in the future as I hold both equally responsible for this avoidable mess in which the consumer has been used as chicken feed. One would have though after the lukewarm reception their rifle received in the US, M+M would want to be aggressive to try and secure a foothold, and build some credibility, for their new platform in a relatively easy market before relaunching themselves in the US with a more refined product.

For the record, I have handled and shot the AR stock version of this rifle in the US. It's a decent rifle but didn't stand out in any area and leave much of an impression as a rifle that I would go out of my way to buy. But that did not stop me from pre-ordering as I am a sucker for new rifles in Canada :p

As a point of reference, the XCR is MILES ahead in fit and finish and refinement and the Vz.58 has a pedigree that is hard to compete with. The only thing this has going for it is the uninterrupted top rail and the relatively decent machining when compared against some of the crude AK kit jobs in the US. I didn't find the accuracy to be any better or worse than any of the other service rifles although my time time was limited to an afternoon.

Good assessment I pre-ordered simply based on the quoted price, figure the rifle will be decent but like you say not as good fit and finish wise as an XCR, if it comes in more than quoted price I will be asking for and getting a full refund and not store credit.
