My thought as well. I'll start stocking up on AK mags and pmags right now
 
Couple questions:
From what I understand it uses standard AK47 mags which means no last round hold open or did I miss something ?
Is there any treatment on the barrel and gas system?
If somebody could chime in it would be appreciated.

There are lots of videos on YouTube that would answer a lot of questions people have bout this bad boy and it has been tested by many for at least a year or so.
I'm super excited and will be buying at least 3. I'm even considering selling all my 858/58 .
 
Wanstalls, a few questions:

1) What size of mag will it ship with? A true, small 5 round only sized mag or a larger mag (pinned or with large follower) made to accept only 5 rounds?
2) What mag choices will you have available separately for sale?
3) What is the stock folded length?

2. They state earlier that it will be the magpul ak mag page 4 of this thread
3. Stock Length Collapsed: 37 inches..... so add the extra 2 inch

Different rifle entirely. The guys who want/ love to shoot .308 will, vice versa x39. Apples to oranges.

That does not specifically answer my mag question as magpul offers many different AK 7.62 x 39 mag sizes (10/20/30)
I asked for the folded length. Not the collapsed length.

Why not do some leg work then and go to the manufacturer webite to see what it all says
 
any chance we could see that sweet short barrelled version or additional uppers? one for NR and others as restricted for the range?

Been there. I may be blind but I don't see where the folded length is stated. Neither do I see Canadian specific mag details. If you can find this info, please share.

I have emailed Wanstalls directly. Once they reply I'll post their answers.

I'm guessing the folded length should be around 28" but just my eyeball guess.
 
Why would we need a canada compliant mag!?!? This isn't commiefornia where they are only allowed 10 rnd mags.
We can have a 5/30 pinned and it's perfectly legal so my guess is considering all rifles ship with 30 rnd pmags (other hen California etc...) don't know why it would be feasible for M+M to ship us canadians anything else and pin those too then
 
Are these going to come with the reciprocating dust cover I saw in the Shot Show 2016 video? Being able to see clear through the upper receiver looks like an invitation for dirt and other undesirable stuff to get into the body of the rifle...
