M+M M10x-DMR Short Handguard Burnt Bronze 7.62x39 18.6in Non-Restricted

I really wish there was a version of this with a set of iron sights, obviously with the front site integral to the gas block!

Cool looking rifle though!

What is the weight of these?

I took a chance on one off the ee and have been super impressed with it. Really fun gun to shoot, and has been very reliable thus far. Definitely a 'truck gun' contender.

Also curious why the v2 has a cut back handguard?

Love the looks of these but they need a pic rail or something on the gas block so you can mount some iron sights up there. Right now the sight radius would be way too short.

Weight and looks no doubt. It’s kinda neat!

3oz or so (?) of handguard weight reduction for no ability to hold it in a modern isosceles stance..
Nor room to add lights and ir devices etc

Dudes with vz58s and t81s all try to get LONGER handguards for a reason. A lighter barrel would have been a better solution for weight than this idea, in my opinion.

Gun is way too heavy. A 6.5 lb cz outshoots it as a truck/ranch gun in x39 and an AR is a better range toy.

Lighter barrel and integral gas block FSB would make it a more compelling option.

I own an MX10 and I want this cut down one for one reason only. I want to see if its more accurate. I was playing with my original long handguard MX10 and there is so much play in the front hanguard due to flex or whatever you can easily change where the pressure point is on the barrel and gas system depending on how you grip the gun or where you are resting it. You would expect a monolithic upper to be more rigid, but anyhow. Im sure this isnt the entire cause of the MX10's less than DMR accuracy, but hey it cant hurt I think... and Im curious. If the barrel was a lighter profile that would be a bonus too but actually I find the balance of the original MX 10 to be decent despite the long heavy barrel.
