M+M M10x Woodland Camo 7.62x39mm 18.6" Non-Restricted

Yes exactly my dear Watson, take advantage of something in demand with a rifle with no demand. All the people who prefer the current safety are prob right, but they already bought the rifle or never will and arguing why it’s better does nothing for new sales.

That's stupid, especially for this kind of rifle

I had it in my hands at TACCOM 2022 and I can say that this particular model is as light as the 12" restricted version with the short handguard.
They just didn't put a cerakote and a milled long handguard on it, they also upgraded the hammer spring to an "AK" style one and it has all the 3rd gen components in it.
I also spoke with a guy I think was from M+M and he told me that regular M10X is more sensitive with chinese surplus ammo since most of it is loaded hot and slams the bolt back so hard the hammer don't have time to catch on but shouldn't have any problems with comm block surplus, Barnhaul or US made brass cased ammo. he told me that this particular model has some more holes on the gas block to fine tune to the type of ammo you are shooting so it could be possible to actually have it function with less gas to compensate for the overpowered chinese surplus ammo.
I will be in the market for one of these if I could find one ... don't care about the reviews, I'll make my own idea when I get it.

The easiest way to do that is just to upgrade the hammer spring: these were made to be like Sig 550's, but are treated liked an expensive SKS.

I think they offer a heavier firing spring now, but a simple AK coiled spring will run despite being looser than their propriety one.

I think it only cost me $30/ Canadian.

Someone should have told me that before I sold it. Mine could not even run Barnaul reliably. Type 81 is far more reliable anyway.

Honestly with the price that rifle is being sold,BUYING thing to make it reliable should not be a thing period. It should fire without any issues out of the box period.

I would totally buy this if it had an AK safety

Also while we’re on the subject, does anyone know where I can find an AK safety for my wk180

The updates sound very promising. If i'm not mistaken this is basically the gen3 they showed at shot show with a milled receiver, cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel, and lighter monolithic rail. North Sylva, when do they come in black?

I wouldn't think so too, but if you look at how much time and money people are willing to invest into making their T81 to look more like an AK, it is very plausible that this would indeed be a big selling feature, as it would have that forbiden fruit "cool factor" ambience to it.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the (by now almost legendary) unreliability, I would own one of those long time ago, AK safety or not.

A t81 is almost half the price.. so adding stupid stuff to it doesn’t really hurt as much
