yes it would fit the pistol , but because the "S&W" are made for the pistol and the rifle that is the problem .The drum is "made" for the Rifle by a different company . It is what the magazine is made for that the govt hangs there hat on . Pistol Mags are limited to 10 rounds rimfire or not

ok so let me get this right... a m&p 15-22 is resticted? so i wouldnt be able to shoot it anywhere but a gun range? and i would need a ATT to get it there?

awww.... that sucks
maybe ill hold off for getting this for my first gun... i think ill get just a reg bolt action .22 for now dose the 10 shot per mag rule still apply for the 15-22 cause its rim fire? from what i remember in my pal corse it has to be center fire semi-auto for it to have the 5 or 10 round max rule so rim fire didnt count...

yes 10 round mags only for the m&p15-22 but only because of the introduction of the m&p15-22 pistol - legal mumbo jumbo dictates that the 25 rounders are prohib

It's made by umarex, who also made the colt m4 .22 ... Look how that gun turned out
Also, they make a 416 pistol, meaning it will have the same mag issue that the s&w is having.
