m&p 15-22 vs colt or other

my M&P 15-22 rarely jams...im happy with the purchase.

will i get a letter to relinquish my 25 round magazines? trade them for legal ones at gun stores? have swat enter my house?

couldent tell you , but if it is like the other popular 22's I am sure someone will come along

Maybe, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. The 25 rounders are legal in the U.S. except in a couple of states. Owners in those states can use the 10 rounders that S&W also makes. U.S. and state law doesn't care about the nuances of who designed it and why, only the magazine capacity. Therefore, there is really no market there for third party 25 rnd magazines.

I understand there have been something like 1,200 15-22s sold in Canada. Maybe a few more by now. Hardly seems like it would be worth the trouble to jump all the bureaucratic hurdles and produce a mag for such a small market.

remington made 30 round mags for the 597 but so dose shooters ridge and eagle as well. Its about if they can make money at it , if someone can make a make and sell it $5 cheaper than a factory one they and still make money at it ,they will .

Well, I hope you're right. But if anyone wanted to do that why aren't they here now? The rifle has been out for over a year. The puny Canadian market will certainly not be a factor.

Wow and here I was almost clicking BUY on B.A.s website... So as it stands right now nobody makes 25 Round mags for these? (pretty much the selling point for me was "almost normal mag capacity")

I really dont want another "10" rounder AR

alright alright...almost ready to take the plunge.....

now to MOE or not to MOE? and also, were there any recalls or bugs in the first versions that had to be fixed? are the later version 15-22s the same as the originals?

i should've waited for the MOE. i got the standard one. shoots great. gotta use 40gr rimfire..or the 37g ones will jam and ftf.

Nutnfancy has a review on the MOE version...and we all love nutnfancy.

ya saw that review and others....still not sure. only difference is the sights, stock and grip right? the extractor problem is still there or has the issue been solved?

mine never had an extractor issue. bought it this summer. some people had problem, but i think its fixed now with the new rifles.

a lot of people had jamming/FTF problems, I would bet that these people didnt read the instructions about loading the mag properly (have to make sure rounds stagger)

do you have the 10 round mags or the 25? are the 25 rounders already "prohib" or "soon to be prohib" ?

25 rounders, apparently soon to be prohib. I really should pin them, but im hoping for a letter at least confirming that I have to do it.
