Anyone have a chance to play with Smith & Wesson's new rimfire offering - the M&P 15/22??

Looks like a nice little affordable AR with cheap ammo...

Oh they're in alright. My friend works for the company bringing these in. According to him, the CFC now wants a sample gun to study before FRTs are relased. There's also the slight chance it could still be classed non-res, but don't count on it.

Very cool Bro....

Even if the CFC decides this is a restricted AR variant, it will still be a fun gun that ties up less cash for range trips only...at least you'll be able to run hi cap mags on it :)

Well I'm pretty sure it's going to be/stay restricted too....just wondering if anyone has any actual comments on the gun itself...worth getting? To me it looks like a nice package for an AR style rifle in the $5-$600 range....

What is really strange is how the Remington 597 VTR is non-restricted, but yet the Ruger SR-22 is restricted :bangHead: both look almost identical....albeit the SR-22 is more AR-ish...

Lets all hope Mr. Henderson wins his case and we can start reclassifying some of these firearms using logic. If you don't know you need to read the thread. I am on a BB right now but a search should find something. He won his case in which the rcmp classified his .22 AK look alike as prohib, and the rcmp is now using our tax dollars to appeal the decision. WTF. The police are arguing with the courts?. Using tax dollars? What has this country come to?
