Finally got att and took her out to the range. Brought a variety of ammo with me. Winchester X, garbage, american eagle, lots of FTE. Best was bulk remington ammo for this gun, not a single issue with it at all. Plus it shoots really good groups with this ammo!!!

Keep shoot'n that!

Mine likes Federal blue box after it broke in....and it took awhile before it started extracting reliably! Those guns seem nicely built until you have a close look at how cheesy the extractor is made and fits. After about a 1500 rounds break in when I was about to give up on it things started working well.

A fellow showed up at the range this past weekend with a brand new M&P 22. I got to shoot a couple of magazines out of it. WHAT A NICE GUN!

I've shot a regular M&P and, if anything, the .22 version has an even better trigger.

I am very happy with my purchase. Went out with a buddy who is die hard glock. He shot a couple clips out of mine and liked it, he won't change over, but he'd also say something if he felt he didn't like it. I'm hoping to buy M&P 9mm in the next few months, wanted the 22 to get the flinches and bad habits out of the way before upgrading to something with more expensive ammo. Most likely will not sell the 22 as its a cheap plinker and fun to shoot!!!

This makes sense since the MP22 has an internal hammer instead of a striker. Thus the trigger pull is lighter since the hammer is fully cocked and is a single action pull. A Striker-fired gun requires you to complete the cocking action with the trigger pull.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I just assumed that it would be a striker like it's big brother.

Isn't it funny that when we look around just how many rimfire pistols use internal hammers.
