Hi all
i have had my new m&p 22 pistol out to range 3 times now and each time the first 2 rounds keep jamming.
I have 450 rounds shot and have taken apart and cleaned each time i have been out.
Is any one got any ideas how to fix this problem.
I have only 1 mag ,so iam waiting for more mags that i have ordered and hope this remedies jaming.
thanks

Almost all .22lr semi autos are ammo sensitive and will jam often until you find out which ones it likes. Before you try anything else try using CCI mini mags. If it still jams with mini mags then the gun is the problem.

I've put about 2000 rounds down range, a bunch of different kinds of ammo with no problems at all. Does it jam each time each time you reload the mag?

I agree, try the mini mags...I have the same gun without incident with the mini mags...never tried any other type of ammo for that gun...

No problems with mine, only got 400 through. I've only shot cheap bulk stuff ( three different brands). I did have two FTE's but that was due to shooting low velocity s hit and not enough bang to cycle. What bullet were you shooting?

Dont use hollow points or truncated nose projectiles. My M&P 22 prefers the 40 grain round nose bullets, CCI, Remington golden bullet and the M-22 by Winchester. The truncated Remingtons I tried had feeding issues.

i have been using a hollow point, i will try other ammo, also i will try only 8 bullets in mag and see if this works next time out to range.
I will post my results.
thanks

Mine LOVES CCI mini mags round nose, copper plated. The federal round nose copper plated work too. Not one single malfunction after 400 mini mags so far.

EDIT: I should say MY WIFE's M$P .22 LOL. I got it for her for christmas, of course I had to take it out to make sure it is safe and sighted in, with 400 rounds.

I just bought my wife one too and I need to zero it in at the range first as well lol. I havent tried it out yet. Have 500 rounds on CCI mini-mags :) (still cant find any spare mags for these things tho)

Hey 9ineMM, check out irunguns .ca.....that is where I purchased them....they don't have them in stock right now but just e-mail them and they will let you know when they will be in....I bought 2 for myself....they were $50 each right to my door....
