I can keep 10 shots on the bottom of a coffee cup at 20m and bang a 6" plate pretty consistently at 45m. I usually start out shooting 50 rds or so in 5 rd strings at a series of 1" patches at about 5-6m prior to carrying on with the practice session - just reinforces the fundamentals.
I'm currently shooting a cast 175gr SWC over 6gr of Universal Clays in Winchester brass. I have "several thousand" bullets left and about 1/3 of a 55 gal drum of once-fired brass so I suppose I'll be shooting it for awhile...
Hope joining in from the east is ok.... I have been shooting high volumes of ammo in IDPA with WOLF reload ammo produced in ontario. the accuracy is extremely good with 180 gr lead or jacketed and the price does not justify spending the time to reload. if you look at the add for SFRC at the forum page bottom you can source these. they may even be available out west now. Its worth a look. The product is being purchased and used for training by many ontario law enforcement agencies so the quality standard is high. regards
