M&P 45 trigger adjustment

Does anyone know how to adjust the trigger pull of the M&P? There is too much travel time and I need to tighten to a crisp 1 lb pull.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Not going to happen. A 1lb pull is something to put on a target rifle, it has absolutely no place what so ever on any handgun larger than an Olympic Free Pistol, much less a 'duty pistol' like an M&P. The design of the M&P 45 is such that even the best trigger job will result in a 4 lb break with some take up and a quick but squishy reset. The most reliable way to improve the trigger on an M&P (any calibre) is to shoot the *ss of it. You may be able to improve the feel by polishing the bearing surfaces and recontouring the sear and firing pin safety, but it'll still be a duty gun. There isn't a Hammerli hiding in there.
