M&P 9 help

Hey folks

I just got an M&P 9 a few days ago (which I freakin' love), but I noticed that the frame tool is extremely hard to remove. It takes all of my strength to turn it so I can extract it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Its normal the newer batches of M&P's that I have handled were all like that. It will loosen up in time.

Oh yes

I ended up pushing the grip against the edge of a table. Took a fair bit of effort till it turned. Gets a little easier with time, as already noted.

I see that the little plastic lug on the tool that holds it in place needs to be beaten into submission, then it gets a little better.

Just had her out to the range for the first time yesterday and had a hoot! Now I'm off to buy some bulk ammo to feed the new addiction

yep, had the same problem.
only took a few times to loosen up

Yeah, like everyone here says, it is normal. It will loosen up after a few uses.

I don't even bother, it isn't necessary to use the darned thing, unless you're changing the grip. I just use a pocket knife blade to flip down the sear release. The bulk ammunition on the other hand really is necessary, these really are fun to shoot.

Just picked up a few hundred rounds of the reloaded stuff. Now it's time to get rid of it all
