Hey there all,

Now before the flame party begins I did use the search function and it yielded nothing as per usual.

I am just wondering if anybody on here has any experience with Hi Viz sights on their M&P and maybe even a type they would reccomend or a supplier that stocks them.

Thank you in advance.

I have the HI Viz on my M&P FS. I didn't put the sight on my M&P Pro and went with the Warren Tactical Fixed rear and FO front. The latter is much better for playing the games IMHO. Nohing wrong with the Hi Viz product, I just prefer the Warren Tactical.

I picked up a set of TruGlo TFO's for mine, and they are fantastic. Fit nice and tight, on about the same plane as the stock sights, but you have the best of both worlds with tritium AND fiber optics. They were a little pricey, but thats the name of the game. HiCal services were able to get a set in for me. Give Dave a call.

I am looking at these as well. Was going to purchase them ober the weekend but they didn't have right size for the M&P 9. They had stuff meant mostly for ahotguns and rifles.

How hard was it to remove the OEM sights off the M&P? I've read that they are on really tight from the factory.

They were on tight. Especially the front sight. A polymer puck, brass punch and soft mallet, a few good WHACKS, and she came out.

You just laid the slide on the puck? Doesn't it move around when you hit it? The main reason why I ask is that the slide is tapered.

It was easier to get the front sight off than putting on the new one.
Just remember you have that little disc and spring underneath the rear sight. It can be tricky to keep it all together. Don't lose it!

I actually bought the Talon Tactical M&P Rear Sight Tool from Brownells. It's plastic and slides into the dovetail to retain the striker spring and cap while you remove the rear sight.

I have a set of tru-glo's on one of my M&Ps.

Front sight hard to remove? It actually was, almost impossible in fact...... I put the slide in a bench vise. And proceeded to mangle 3 brass drifts....... The front sight came off, but I had to redress 3 brass punches when I was done!

i had these sights on my m&p9...front fiber optic fell out at 500 rounds. easy fix but i ditched them in favor of oem dot with a blacked out rear sight...ps i have a sight removal tool what makes it a piece of cake - also came in handy when i put in my apex tactical trigger/sear kit
