@Canadian_Eh: Yeah my pistol has all those features you list, and yes it can be fired without the magazine.

@ViktorF: Hmm...maybe I haven't done enough reading, (and also being new to firearms I might be talking out my ass), but it seems to me that most M&P's that I've read about were quite reliable. Some people have compared them to Glock in that regard. The JG edition was one I was seriously considering, but went for the Pro because of the sale price at *******.

This is one beautiful firearm. Did your local retailer have this (Pro Series) or did you have to order it? If you ordered it would you be comfortable sharing where via reply post or PM? Thanks for reminding me I want to get one.

I got mine a month ago from Badger Arms. Good folks. (Of course, I can't comment on how it shoots, because my ATT hasn't come through yet.) Mine can also fire without the magazine.
