Hello,

I have a M&P45 and M&P22 with thumb safety, I really like the M&P platform, I think I would enjoy one in 9mm, all my semi-auto pistols have a thumb safety so I would like to keep that going, plus I could see it replacing my shadow as my main 9mm so it would be especially nice to have the same controls on it.

I know they have them in the states but are there any 9mm with thumb safety's in Canada?

Please refrain from replies like "why would you want a thumb safety on a M&P".

Thank you.

my dad has one.
its just a different model number.
any store that sells the normal one can get those for you, they would just have to order it in.

if you dont feel like waiting for them to put in their next order just buy one in the states and use one of the importing companies to bring it in for ya.

irunguns is the last one i used.
think i ended up paying about $100 more then i would have paid up here IF i was able to get the gun i wanted up here.... which i couldn't.
so $100 i got exactly what i wanted, fair price.

There is no replacing a CZ75 SP01 SHADOW so I will not help you my friend and have some respect for the cz say its full name good day sir

+1 to wayup's comment. If you're in a rush, get IRUNGUNS or Prophet River to bring one in for you. If you're not in a rush, then pick your favourite LGS and have them order it for you.

You could also find an older model used on the EE, and convert it. I believe they had universal frames at that point, and I'd wager that Murray Charlton could sell you the parts you'd need.

I got rid of my CZs and went to an M&P9 for my primary pistol... :)

You talk of a primary 9mm pistol. I don't know about you but I can fit a gun both my hands. Don't limit yourself to one gun it's unnatural, like marriage.

LOL, you are correct. I like options, especially when it comes to guns. I have no intensions of selling my Shadow, just think I might enjoy a M&P 9 more. Only time will tell.

Yep.. Only the time it takes the cfo to do his job and the time it takes canpar to do theirs.. Sadly.

The IRG service is excellent. I've used then for importing restricted twice and they bill you and ship the same day your transfer is approved.
