M&p 9

I'm, jealous. I'm dying to get out to the range to try out my new one!

I ducked out of work early and got the M&P 9 to the range today. I shot terrible groups but I blame the 70km/h wind gusts and my lack of a decent jacket, not the gun. Seemed to shoot a little low, but it may be that I'm still used to my last gun. Gun functioned flawlessly with 3 different brands ammo. Stock trigger is really good in my opinion.

I was only able to get 9 rounds in each mag. Hopefully I'm able to trim the bottom of the followers to make the 10th round fit.

This was my first experience with using speedloader. The one that came in the range kit is so slick. Piece of cake to operate and really saves your thumbs!

I'm very please with this gun!

^shooting low,

M&Ps sight are set so that the point of impact is hidden behind the front sight, not over it. The sight picture should hide the centre of the target, not form a "lollipop". Also try a different size backstrap if you are using the correct sight picture.

Ahh, thanks for that input. My sight picture was definitely low. The lollipop worked with my last gun.

I was out with mine last week. The gun is clearly more accurate than I am. I shot a box of reloads that I put together with VVn 340 and some unknown 124 grain plated bullets that the local pusher had in an odds and sods bin. At 25 yards a couple of magazines worth shot into 4". I'll never see those bullets again, so I'm going to try some other commonly available plated bullets to try and duplicate the accuracy.

I'm very new to pistols...but my first was the m&p9 range kit. It was my first time ever shooting a pistol, put 150 rounds through it with little to no break (range officer was loading my mags for me). This firearm is amazing and even better when you consider a $700 price point for the range kit. I would recommend to anybody wanting to buy their first pistol.
