M&P 9m problem?

Looks like the fire pin hole on my new used M&P9 is chamfered on the bottom of the hole (closest to the mag)

anyone know if this is normal? seems very "machined" It leaves a very noticeable mark on the primers of everything i put threw it. Dangerous? are my primers close to rupturing?

Looks bad! I would post this on the trouble shooting thread on the MP pistol.com forum and you will get your answer. Dan Burwell is a mod on the sight and I beleive him to be the most knowlegable person there is regarding these guns.

^No it doesn't (you should see the brass fired out of Steyr), it looks fine! don't worry about it...mine does that as well...

Btw is your gun Revision N? (look in the inside of dustcover)

Perfectly normal, the breech face is fine, so is the brass. Go out and have fun.

It doesn't look as bad as some Glock fired brass I have seen.
