I run mine in 3-gun all the time. The pre-travel is much shorter, but in no way does it concern me. The safety is mounted right in the center of the trigger so you can't side bump it or pull it un-intentionally. I also did the trigger guard undercut to aid in a higher grip. Trigger mods will limit what classes you get to shoot in depending what leagues you shoot if any. My 3-gun leagues don't have classes so it didn't matter. Triggers really are personal though, it is a bit of a gamble, I spent a lot of time on Youtube with Apex. They have a lot of videos explaining their different trigger kits and what you will get. I though the FSS was the best bang for the buck (no pun intended) I hated the long pull and the over travel of the original trigger. But I also have two 1911s.
