I knew you guys tried once and did not work out
but is it possible to try again?
i knew someone on the board made a group import once so there is definitely a lot of interest in these
personally i would swap my whole belt of regular 10 rounders for these

Cheers

The stock mags are 10/17...

No, we get factory S&W 10/10 here in the great white north. The last round can be a ##### to load, but gets easier with time. and they are ugly with a huge plastic base where there should be metal. but other than that meh, 10/10 works. Factory 10/17 would be nice but I don't see them as absolutely necessary.

on top, if u plan on using a magwell on ur m&p, the extended basepads only work with the hi-cap tubes

How'd you find that link? If I direct hit it I see the mag...but if I forage around his website it doesn't show up...are these coming in at all?

How is the Canadian law on mags when importing/buying form US; two scenarios:
1- I cross the border, buy 17 rounds mags and pin them to <10 rounds on my way back, can I cross the border with them, any special paperwork? Or ship them back to my house.
2- I order from a US online retailer, they arrive unpinned to my house. I pin them out of the box.

Do Canadian retailers have to receive pined mags or they do it in store? Is there a "grace" period when modifying a mag or firearm?

You can't export them. A licensed exporter is needed and you can't be you (US citizen, etc, etc). Get caught trying to leave the US with them it's federal time.

The courts (in their drug induced wisdom) have decided that a un-pinned mag, even disassembled, is a prohibited device. Criminal charge and lose of firearms. Customs will follow them to your door and raid you as some as the mags are inside.

Businesses can import and possess prohibited devices (un-pinned mags) if they check the correct box on the license application. They can then sell them to police forces or pin them and sell to regular customers.

You're SOL.

Id ordered one 10/17 mag off of a site called hy-caps. Promised international shipping on all sorts of hi cap mags but nothing ever showed. Site and phones down now. Their youtube page is still up though.

I would take 3!
I can't even get the 10th round in, neither with the mag loader!

I had the same issue with my m&p but its easy to fix. Take the mag apart and remove the grey piece (follower?) out. Get a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface and sand it down 1/16th - 1/8th of an inch. re-assemble and try 'er out!

S&W really screwed the pooch on this one. When I got my MP9, it came with shiny gloss magazines that hold 10 rds just fine. When my wife started shooting it for IPSC, I bought two more magazines which were a mat black, non shiny. Apparently police agencies were complaining about the high reflectiveness of the shiny magazines so S&W started making the magazines with a different finish. When they did so, they changed something and now the mags all come out 9.5 rd mags. I returned the two new mags and got the last two shiny mags out from behind the new ones on the shelf :)
